When someone shares your link, apps like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, X and Facebook build a preview card from your Open Graph (og:) and X card (twitter:) meta tags. Missing or broken tags mean a plain link with no image, which gets far less attention in a busy feed.
This checker reads those tags, downloads your share image to confirm it loads and to measure its size, and flags common problems: no og:image, images under 200×200 pixels, the wrong aspect ratio, http:// images, and missing titles, descriptions or card types. The previews use generic layouts to show cropping and truncation.
The fix snippet keeps your existing values and fills in placeholders for anything missing, ready to paste into your page's head. After fixing, refresh each platform's cached preview with its own debugging tool. It's worth checking every page you promote in ads, emails or WhatsApp broadcasts.
