About

About this tool

Every time a browser or crawler requests a page, the server answers with a three-digit status code. 200 means OK, 301 and 302 are redirects, 404 means not found, 410 means gone for good and 5xx codes mean the server failed. This checker requests up to ten URLs from our server and shows the exact code, the status text, how long the response took, and the headers that matter for SEO.

Redirects are deliberately not followed, so you see the real first response and its Location header. That makes it easy to spot a 302 that should be a 301, a page that redirects when it shouldn't, or a noindex sent in an X-Robots-Tag header that you can't see in the page source.

Use it after a site migration, when cleaning up broken links, or to confirm that deleted pages return 404 or 410 instead of a soft 200. Export the results to CSV to share with your developer.
