Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes: the content is stored in the pattern itself, so they work forever and don't depend on our website. The trade-off is that you can't edit them after printing.

Is a UPI QR code safe to share?

A UPI QR code only contains your UPI ID, name and optional amount, the same details you'd share for a payment. Payers still confirm the payment in their UPI app with their PIN. Never scan a QR code to receive money.

PNG or SVG: which should I download?

Use PNG for websites, social posts and WhatsApp. Use SVG for print and design tools, because it scales to any size without blurring.

What does error correction do?

It adds redundancy so a code still scans when partly damaged or covered. Medium (15%) suits most uses. High (30%) is better for printed codes or if you plan to place a logo over the centre.

Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?

No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser, and nothing you type is uploaded or stored.

About this tool

QR codes bridge print and digital: menus, flyers, packaging, shop counters and visiting cards. This generator creates static QR codes for nine kinds of content: website URLs, plain text, WhatsApp chats, Wi-Fi logins, vCard 3.0 contacts, emails, phone calls, SMS and UPI payment requests for India.

Each type is encoded in the format phone cameras expect. Wi-Fi codes use the standard WIFI: format with special characters escaped, contact cards use vCard 3.0, and UPI codes use the upi://pay link that GPay, PhonePe, Paytm and BHIM understand. The live preview updates as you type, and you can download a crisp PNG up to 2048 px or a scalable SVG for print.

Customise colours, quiet-zone margin and error correction. Keep the code dark on a light background with good contrast (the tool warns you if it is too low), use higher error correction for print, and always test-scan before printing thousands of copies.
