About

About this tool

How much happens online while you read a single page? This live dashboard starts counting the moment you open it and shows estimated Google searches, emails, WhatsApp messages, ChatGPT prompts, YouTube viewing and uploads, Instagram posts, UPI payments in India, online spending and new websites.

Each counter uses a per-second rate calculated from a widely published figure, for example about 8.5 billion Google searches a day divided by 86,400 seconds. The table below the counters lists every figure, its basis and where it comes from, so you can check the maths yourself.

These are estimates, not live feeds. Real activity varies by time of day and season, and some source figures are a few years old. They are great for presentations, classroom talks and putting the scale of digital marketing into perspective. Leave the page open for a minute and the numbers show why even a tiny share of online attention is worth competing for.
